Despite coming from a boxing family, Paulette “Heredera” Cuesta did not begin to box until she reached 23 years of age and only to lose weight. The potential was there and she embarked on her boxing career with only ten amateur fights in about a year’s time. Cuesta made her pro debut in her native Tijuana, Mexico, in 2016.
After nearly ten years as a professional and nearly twenty fights, the three-time world title challenger has scored wins over the likes of the then undefeated Melissa Esquivel, Estrella Valverde, Jessica Diaz, Kumora Yang Badillo and Cristina Hernandez while also traveling internationally for world title fights.
Cuesta is ranked #10 by the WBC in her natural weight class of 115 pounds and looks to challenge for a world title in her division soon.
