Enriquez, from Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, began boxing at 13 years old. After nearly one hundred amateur fights and a bronze medal in Mexico’s National Olympiad, Kenia went pro at 18 years old in the summer of 2012. She captured her first regional title two years later with a 7th round TKO of tough veteran Jolene Blackshear. The same year captured her first regional title, the NABF light flyweight, with a unanimous decision over Ana Arrazola for the vacant WBO flyweight world title.
She suffered her only defeat in her first defense against former two-time world champion Melissa McMorrow. Enriquez dropped back to 108 pounds and captured the interim WBC light flyweight world title with a 3rd round TKO over Maria Salinas in 2017. She defended the title four times without receiving an opportunity for the full-fledged belt by the WBC.
In 2023 she defeated former world champion Ibeth Zamora for the interim WBC flyweight title and has defended it once in early 2024 with a unanimous decision over past opponent Maria Salinas.
In her boxing career Enriquez has defeated 11 either former world champions or world title challengers including Yesica Nery Platas, Leiryn Flores, Katia Gutierrez and Chaoz Minowa.
In early 2025 Enriquez embarked into Mixed Martial Arts making her debut with Combate Global. She defeated the undefeated jujitsu brown-belt Hailey Valentine via unanimous decision. Soon thereafter Enriquez signed an exclusive promotional contract with Combate Global.
Enriquez will continue her boxing career looking to become Mexico’s first undisputed world champion as well as pursuing a title in Mixed Martial Arts.
