A rivalry is set to be reignited on Saturday, September 20th, when rising contender Paulette “Heredera” Cuesta (17-5-1, 4KO) faces seasoned warrior Susy Kandy “La Rubia” Sandoval (10-22, 2KO) in an 8-round rematch at the Tecate Arena in Tijuana, Mexico. The fight card is presented by Baja Boxing.

The two first met in a spirited six-round battle, where Cuesta emerged victorious by unanimous decision back in April of 2021. The rematch comes with new intrigue, as Cuesta is now campaigning in the bantamweight division, eager to display her continued growth and strength at her new weight.

Sandoval enters the bout with determination to even the score, while Cuesta looks to solidify her dominance and move one step closer to bigger opportunities in the stacked bantamweight class.

“We are looking to keep Paulette active and in tough fights for her growth,” stated Felipe Leon, head of Leon Sports Group and Cuesta’s management team.  “Obviously we are not happy with the result of her last fight, a draw against former champion Guadalupe Martinez, we saw Cuesta win but are confident Paulette would put on a great performance against Sandoval.”

In addition to the Cuesta–Sandoval main event, fans will be treated to an exciting undercard featuring a mix of Tijuana’s top prospects and established regional talent. The full lineup of bouts will be announced in the coming weeks, promising a night of action-packed fights from start to finish.
